We recently engaged McIntosh Builders to undertake a major renovation of our residence. After numerous complimentary meetings with David McIntosh, we engaged a design company to plan our renovation. These were then provided to David for comment and provide costings. We found David’s ideas and experience invaluable during this process and he provided great support in assisting us with our decisions.

His quotation was very detailed, and whilst it was initially outside our budget, David worked with us to find acceptable solutions to satisfy our budget and maintain the integrity of the design. The items available for choice were costed such that we had plenty of product choice. Having spent significant time at the planning stage, we had minimal variations, making the final cost within our budget.

Our original plan was to have the interior designer project manage the job for us. However, we felt so comfortable with David that we ultimately decided to deal directly with him ourselves. As well as being very much a hands-on builder, David’s strong communication skills, openness to regular onsite meetings, relationship and use of quality subcontractors and excellent time management skills gave us confidence in our ability to work closely with him and saved us a significant amount of project management fees.
We are very satisfied with the quality of the work, the timeliness of the project phases and the value provided. We love the outcome of our home renovation and can honestly say it was a pleasure working with McIntosh Builders.

We have no hesitation in recommending them to a potential customer and next time we have the need for a builder we will be calling David at McIntosh Builders.
